The EAPM Academy is happy to invite you to join us on

Wednesday April 29, 2026 16:00–17:00 (CEST)

Persistent physical symptoms (PPS) are common in primary care. Management of PPS often presents a challenge for general practitioners, and patients may leave the consultation without a clear symptom explanation or an actionable plan. In this EAPM Academy webinar, we present two practical approaches to the management of PPS. First, we introduce the web-based self-help programme “My Symptoms” that helps the patient understand physical symptoms as a bodily stress response that can be regulated using behavioural change tools. Second, we will present results from a Norwegian cluster-randomized trial evaluating ICIT (Individual Challenge Inventory Tool), a structured communication tool grounded in CBT and a mind-body approach, which has been shown to improve patient outcomes and reduce sick leave. Join us for this webinar to learn how two different approaches may bring clarity and confidence to complex consultations.
